Joanne Highfield, RN, BS, serves as the Practice Manager at Revitalize Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa, where she oversees both clinical and aesthetic operations. She brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience, combining clinical expertise, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Rehabilitation from Central Michigan University, her Associate Degree in Nursing from St. Clair County Community College, and is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Oakland University.

Joanne began her career as an Exercise Physiologist in clinical cardiology and spent 18 years working in cardiology before transitioning into nursing. She later worked as an operating room nurse at Corewell Health Troy, where she developed extensive experience in surgical care, patient safety, and team coordination. It was there that she met Dr. Elswick, beginning a valued professional partnership.

For the past two years, Joanne has volunteered as a nurse with Trinity Community Care, serving uninsured and underinsured members of the community. Her greatest personal accomplishment is raising her daughter, Harper, who inspires her daily to lead with compassion, strength, and purpose.

As Practice Manager, Joanne oversees staff leadership, medical spa operations, and patient and client experience, ensuring every individual feels supported, informed, and cared for in a welcoming, refined environment.

Why I became an Aesthetician:    I worked in the medical field for several years and found my passion while working for a dermatologist who provided me with nutrition classes, skin care classes including:  skin type and tone, assessing client needs, common skin care services, acne treatment care.

When I joined Revitalize’s Medical Day Spa I was selected to be certified as an Endermologist on two different types of machines. I then provided consultations, treatments for the reduction of cellulite, treatment for post surg Pts for face and body.  I love being able to provide my clients both skincare treatments and body contouring helping them be confident in their skin and body.

Why I became an Aesthetician:    I have always had a passion for skincare. Having my own skincare challenge with adult acne brought me to see an Aesthetician. She helped me a great deal and inspired me with a new career. I want to help people the way she helped me.

Donovan has several years of hands-on experience, he blends clinical insight with intuitive technique to deliver highly effective therapeutic massage. His practice focuses on chronic muscle tension, limited range of motion, and recovery from repetitive strain. Whether working with athletes, desk-bound professionals, or individuals recovering from injury, Donovan customizes each session to restore functional movement, ease muscular pain, and promote long-term wellness. Using advanced methods such as trigger point therapy, cupping, hot and cold stone treatments, and myofascial release, he strives to reset patterns of restriction and improve joint mobility. Clients appreciate his recommendations, precision in treatment, and the renewed freedom they feel after each session.

Why I became a Technician: The desire for helping others look and feel their very best developed first through the art of makeup, catering to bridal, editorial and film. The love of makeup progressed into obsession with skin and eyebrows, which then lead me to become a licensed esthetician. While now offering a wide variety of skincare services including facial treatments, eyebrow tinting and lamination, facial and body hair removal, lash lifting and tinting, as well as so much more, I have most recently become a certified Microblading Artist. I look forward to creating the space and energy to enhance your natural beauty, one service at a time.
